Summary
"I'm hallucinating now," Damian muttered to himself, as the boy stared at him, uncertainly, "Mhm, pretty sure I'm not a hallucination."
"That's what a hallucination would say, Richard," he said, knowing he sounded petulant. Whatever the Galra had given him to keep him quiet, it was stronger than many of the drugs he had become accustomed to during his training with the League of Assassins.
It was only for this reason that he risked falling forward. Fortunately for him, he was promptly grabbed by the boy. It was a strong, solid grip, and definitely not a hallucination.
Damian looked up, meeting eyes that reminded him of a dead man, and the other said, "You confused me with another person. My name is not Richard. It's Lance."
(During his imprisonment on an alien ship, after sacrificing himself to save Earth, Damian meets a boy who reminds him terribly of his dead brother. He can't be who he believes, but the resemblance is striking, and Damian just wants to believe that something left by Dick Grayson still exists.)

“You were with her.” Elena practically growls this line while staring at Sabina. It sounds very strange in Elena’s voice … which is usually gentle and sweet.“Ummm,” Sabina glances at Elena, pales a little and then looks at Bosley, eyes wide with mute appeal. “Bos?”
“Not mission relevant, Elena,” Bosley says sternly-gently, “we don’t have much time for this final briefing. I have a last-minute update from Charlie for you three. New intel.”
Elena bites her bottom lip, looks down. Jane feels upset; she can tell Elena is upset. Sabina’s thigh is bouncing minutely under Jane’s hand: she’s obviously restless. Sabina’s upset too. Jane glances between her girlfriends ...
“Angels!” Bosley’s voice cracks like a whip. Jane looks over in shock. Bosley is glaring at them all … though she doesn’t look truly mad. More worried. “We’re in a briefing.” Bosley says this sternly. Then, sarcastically. “It’s traditional to pay attention.”
“Maybe you should pull our team from this one,” Jane suggests before she knows what she’s saying.

Summary
Chuuya rolls Dazai’s window down. They’re heading to the beach— you can see the ocean peak above the road from here. The air smells distinctly like Summer and sea water. Dazai grimaces at the thought of wet clothing sticking to her skin, while Chuuya beams at the idea of the cool water on her tanned, star spangled skin.
(Star spangled in this case referring to her freckles and moles, of course. Chuuya is not the American flag.)
They pull into the parking lot just behind the shore. The beach is empty— which is extremely surprising, considering the weather and the date.

It's a self insert fic. You know the drill.
Featuring a grumpy protagonist who wants mochi, clean socks, and to maintain possession of their life and eyeballs in that order, a troll-dad sensei who's genuinely trying to understand the pint sized weirdos he's been saddled with but isn't sure where to start, and two team mates who are honest to god twelve year olds who canonically didn't mature until after the handy dandy time skip.
Where, please, is the unsubscribe button, because I'd like to request a different afterlife.
