So about a week ago (i think? What is time at this point anyways) I posted a lil picture that involved my parts of my headcanons of how vessel cloaks worked. In the tags, I asked people to question me on my Hollow's cloak was so short in comparison to what it should've been.
And ask they did!!!
Sometime and a google doc later, here we are! Over 1000 words of me angsting about Hollow's cloak (+300 or so words of semi fluff about Hollow's cloak)
(Couldnt put this in the notes because mobile ao3 isnt super great at that but: Please read the warnings in the author's note before each chapter!)

Din doesn't want to be Mand'alor. The Darksaber, that definitely does not whisper to him in the middle of the night, refuses to leave his hand. When Din is finally presented a chance to rid himself of it, promised to a Mandalorian he has never met yet it yearns for him, Din doesn't hesitate to make a deal.
That may lead to some problems. Din should have hesitated, considering that promise may or may not have come from the ghost of an ancient Mand'alor capable of wizardry.
Oh well, at least this cop is nice and helpful.
TLDR : Din doesn't read the fine print, gets flung through space and time, goes through puberty twice as a result, and crash lands at a pivotal point in Jaster Mereel's Journeyman Protector career. Jaster has thoughts about this. Maybe too many thoughts.

Summary

His doppelganger promises to return him to the void once his research is complete but before he can make good on his threat, Gaster is introduced to this world’s variant of his son and he is forced to make a quick, spur of the moment decision.
This sole act sends unforeseen ripples throughout the Multiverse and hurdles Gaster on a perilous journey across it to find his way home.

Yes? Okay, good. Does his heart ache every time Liu Qingge comes by smelling of rust and staring at Shen Qingqiu like he hung the stars in the midnight sky? Yes? Well, alright; that’s normal. Is he thinking about accepting a proposition for sex by a man he’s been pining after for years? Yes? Well. He’s only a simple man.
